What Teachers Make: An Illustrated Take

The popular web comic Zen Pencils takes inspirational quotes and illustrates them for powerful effect. This time, they took on the true significance of what it means to be a teacher.

The comic is based on a spoken word poem by Taylor Mali.

The poem was inspired by an actual conversation that Mali, a teacher of nine years,
had at a dinner party where he was asked “What do teachers make?" He has since
gone on to write a book of the same name.
